Conditions Treated
At Champion Heart and Vascular Center, we treat almost every cardiovascular condition. Our primary areas of focus include:

  • Heart disease is any number of conditions (or even a combination) that affect the functioning or structure of the heart, and may result in a heart attack or stroke. Examples/types of heart disease include:

    Arterial Disease
Also known as "atherosclerosis", this is when there is a problem with the blood vessels that take oxygenated blood from your heart to the rest of your body. The problem could be narrowing, hardening, or even a blockage. Most heart attacks and angina (chest pain) are caused by coronary arterydisease.

    Arrhythmias
These are disorders that affect heart rhythm, making the heart beat too quickly, too slowly, or in a disorganized way — disrupting proper blood flow.

    Structural Heart Disease
These are abnormalities or defects in the structure of the heart — muscles, walls, valves, or blood vessels — that can be congenital (from birth) or caused by infection or aging.

  • This is any chronic condition related to diseased or abnormal veins (mostly blood vessels bringing blood back to the heart for oxygen), which can cause a number of problems, including:

    Varicose or Spider Veins
These are veins that don't control blood flow properly because they have thickened, dilated, lengthened, or twisted. They can look like threads or web-like, or even look like clusters under the skin.

    Leg Pain or Swelling
You could be experiencing pain, heaviness, swelling, numbness, or itching in the legs, or your legs may feel easily "tired."

  • At Champion Heart & Vascular Center, we also treat:

    Uterine Fibroids
These are benign or non-cancerous tumors in the smooth muscles in the uterus that may cause heavy or painful periods, frequent urination, pain/cramps, and can even make it more difficult to get pregnant.

    Pelvic Congestion Syndrome
This is when women develop varicose veins in the lower abdomen, which can cause a dull, chronic pain.

    Varicocele
These are varicose veins around one or more of a man's testicles.
